Brendan O’Flynn helps develop and support the strategic direction of the firm. He also holds senior responsibility for global investor relations, and supports our longevity investment practice.
From 2011 until February 2019 Mr. O’Flynn was based in Sydney, as our Australian representative, handling fund raising and investor relations with our clients in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2008 to 2010, Mr. O’Flynn was with the Longevity Markets Group of Credit Suisse. In 2008, he launched its Asian arm based in Hong Kong, where he developed the institutional market for life contingent assets across the Asia/Pacific region. Upon joining Credit Suisse in London in 2005, Mr. O’Flynn headed pensions and insurance coverage for the UK and Ireland, delivering institutional asset and liability management solutions targeting precise risk, tax, accounting and capital results. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. O’Flynn was at Abbey Financial Markets, the derivatives arm of Abbey National Bank, where he played a central role in the financial stabilization of Abbey National’s life insurance division. Earlier positions include Arthur Andersen and Credit Suisse Financial Products.
Mr. O’Flynn holds a B.Com from Bond University, Australia.
